得州大学成果进入临床 用鸡蛋生产新冠疫苗将成真

一款新的新冠疫苗已进入临床试验阶段，令人期待的是，该疫苗可以利用鸡蛋进行大量、低成本的生产，或将成为全球抗击疫情的“制胜全垒打”。

　　根据美国全国广播公司（NBC）下属的Kxan电视台4月5日报道，这款名为NDV-HXP-S的疫苗由美国得克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校研究人员协助开发，是临床试验中首个采用新分子设计的疫苗。科学界广泛认为，该新分子设计能制造出比现有疫苗更强有力的抗体，而且这款新疫苗可能更容易生产。

　　《纽约(专题)时报》称，辉瑞和强生等制药商生产的新冠疫苗需要采用一些不易获得的成分，而且只能在特定的专业工厂生产。

　　而NDV-HXP-S则完全相反，这款新疫苗可以利用鸡蛋进行大量生产，方法与全球每年用鸡蛋培育数以亿计的流感疫苗类似。（根据美国CDC发布的一项信息，2019-2020流感季美国共提供了近1.75亿剂流感疫苗，其中82%是基于鸡蛋生产的。）
　　根据科研人员的说法，该疫苗使用“一种来自新冠病毒表面的高度稳定的棘突蛋白，以训练人类免疫系统识别和抵抗感染。”

　　报道指出，如果NDV-HXP-S疫苗被证实安全有效，将意味着流感疫苗生产商每年具有生产超过10亿剂NDV-HXP-S新冠疫苗的潜力。

　　除了用鸡蛋培育外，该疫苗还可以在2至8摄氏度的温度下保存，更便于储存和运输。

　　但临床试验首先必须确定NDV-HXP-S疫苗在人体能发挥真正效用。目前，该疫苗正在巴西、墨西哥、泰国和越南进行临床试验。第一阶段临床试验将在7月结束，最后阶段临床试验还需要几个月的时间。

　　报道称，如果证实有效，它可能彻底扭转全球抗疫的局面：低收入和中等收入国家能够自主生产新冠疫苗，或者以较低的成本获得疫苗。

　　总部位于美国西雅图(专题)的国际非营利组织帕斯（PATH）协调该疫苗研发，其疫苗创新和获取中心因尼斯博士称赞：“这是预防新冠病毒的‘制胜全垒打’，我认为这是世界一流的疫苗。”
